After settling into your comfortable room, an array of delicious cakes, delicately prepared finger sandwiches and local gin await you in the conservatory for our gin afternoon tea.
In the evening, we invite you to join us for a sparkling cocktail and canapés reception with our General Manager and his team, followed by an exquisite four-course welcome dinner featuring entertainment at your table from our magician and balloonist..
After dinner, take a seat in one of the comfortable lounges for some fabulous music from our resident singer.

Prepare yourself for the forthcoming festivities with a hearty Cumbrian breakfast and tempting cocktail. This is followed by a fun scavenger hunt in our beautiful spa gardens, with a great prize for the overall winner! If the outdoors doesn’t tempt you, stay warm and come along to our sparkling wine masterclass, after which a light lunch buffet will be served.
As midnight draws closer, dress to impress and join us on the red carpet to pose for a photo from our magic selfie mirror, a keepsake to take home to remind you of your visit. The best dressed couple wins a bottle of Champagne!
Tonight’s six-course dinner has been prepared by Head Chef and his team, offering you a unique dining experience to end the year in style - keep an eye out for the piper! Afterwards, enjoy the live music and DJ with dancing until the early hours. When the bell tolls midnight, ring in the New Year with a glass of bubbly and a snack to keep the celebrations going.

Enjoy a leisurely morning after a night of partying with a full Cumbrian breakfast and cocktail when you wake. Or, if you would prefer more time to rest and recuperate, we will host our New Year’s Jazz buffet from 11:30am. Our two kitchen teams have worked together to offer a fusion of traditional English and exotic Asian inspired dishes – plus we’ll throw in a complimentary cocktail to enjoy alongside your nibbles!
Start with a Mimosa or spicy Bloody Mary cocktail and relax as the sound of smooth jazz fills the hotel with thanks to our resident jazz band. If fresh air is on the agenda, join our New Year’s Day guided walk to a local beauty spot (weather permitting) with a glass of sloe gin and a snack to enjoy at the half way point.
Tea and crumpets with Cumberland rum butter will be served in the lounges in the afternoon if you fancy a light bite. Then, finish the night off with a four-course farewell dinner, before joining us at the James Bond casino tables, where you can have your Martinis, shaken not stirred. Have a flutter with fun money for a chance to win a magnum of champagne.
